Nestled among two acres of private wooded forest at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Goldmine is one of Crestone's most stunning adobe homes -- a sanctuary for writing, meditation, yoga practice, or the kind of deep rest that only nature and quiet can offer.

Step outside to a wrap around deck where you can see both sunrise over the mountains and sunsets over the valley. Watch stars fill the sky from the deck. Listen for wildlife moving through the trees just beyond your window. The two acres of trees and rock provide privacy, silence, and natural beauty.

Two Luxurious Master Suites

The first master suite features a queen bed, dresser, and large bathtub with east and north-facing windows looking out to nature. The second suite includes a workstation and steam sauna shower, ideal for writers and those who need to stay productive during their stay. A fold-out couch upstairs accommodates up to six guests total.

A Dedicated Practice Studio

The entire second floor is given over to movement -- wood floors, soaring ceilings, and a deck with 360-degree views of the valley and peaks. Yoga, meditation, dance, breathwork, or quiet sitting: this space holds it all.

The Goldmine Kitchen

Anchored by a classic Aga stove and fully stocked with cookware and bakeware, the kitchen is warm, open, and made for gathering. Tall windows bring the mountains inside while you cook.

Two Acres of Private Forest

Stone paths wind through a walled garden with stucco walls and dozens of quiet sitting spots. The land invites slow walks, morning practice outdoors, and the kind of stillness that is increasingly hard to find.

Simple Breakfast Included: We offer a very simple selection of tea, coffee, local eggs and cereal.

Safety Details: We have a hot oven and open railings inside the house as well as on the second level deck. This is not safe for children.

About Our Exceptional Kitchen Stove: Featuring several ovens that maintain consistent temperatures, making it ideal for various cooking methods like baking, roasting, and simmering. The various ovens in an AGA cooker are kept at different temperatures, providing versatility in cooking. For instance, the top oven is usually hotter and suitable for roasting, while the lower oven is cooler, perfect for baking. This unique method results in flavorful meals as the food cooks from all sides, creating a deliciously tender and moist finished product.
